Indian Knowledge System
Gandhi Memorial National College, Ambala Cantt.
In alignment with the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India’s initiative launched in 2020 to promote Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), Gandhi Memorial National College, Ambala Cantt. has proudly established the Indian Knowledge System Club from the academic session 2024–25.
The primary objective of the IKS Club is to decolonize the mind set of younger generations and reconnect them with India’s rich and ancient cultural heritage. The Club seeks to foster awareness and appreciation for the profound scholarly achievements of ancient India across various disciplines, including science, mathematics and literature.
Throughout the academic session, the IKS Club has organized a series of insightful activities, lectures, and workshops aimed at enlightening students about the glorious intellectual traditions of India. These initiatives are designed to inspire pride in our heritage and encourage deeper exploration into the indigenous systems of knowledge that shaped not only India but also contributed significantly to global civilization.
