The Department of Higher Education, Government Haryana introduced the programme namely “Earn While You Learn” for Govt. and Aided Private Colleges in 2001. For making the students economically independent, Gandhi Memorial National College motivates the students to adopt this programme titled “Earn While You Learn”. Under this programme, the students of various streams not only financially support their studies but also gain practical experience by working on different college jobs in library, admin office, labs, etc. which would stand by them in their later career. This helps the students to gain a firsthand experience of myriad skills and thereby develop their self-confidence and personality. Accordingly, the students are encouraged to take up part-time jobs after completing their regular classes or during holidays which would enhance their personal rating at the time of final placements.
