Department of Chemistry

The department of chemistry was established in the year 1948 and over a period of time, it has emerged as one of the premiere departments of the college. The department has two practical laboratories and one research laboratory which are fully furnished and equipped with instruments like UV Spectrophotometer, Mettler balance, Sonicator, Centrifuge machine, Potentiometer, Polarimeter, Refractometer, Conductometer, Thermostat, Oven, Hot plate, Magnetic Stirrer etc. The department offers two courses: B.Sc. (Non-medical) and B.Sc. (Medical). The head of the department, Dr. Neha Aggarwal put her best efforts for the betterment of the students and the department. The students are encouraged to get placed into different educational and industrial sectors. Poor and needy students are offered books free of cost from the book bank of the department. The accomplishments of the department are attributed to the collaborative efforts of the teaching faculty, students and the non-teaching staff of the department.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
