Two Day National Conference on "Plagiarism and Academic Integrity in Higher Education"

Gandhi Memorial National College has organized a two-day national conference on "Plagiarism and Academic Integrity in Higher Education" in collaboration with Haryana Library Association (HLA) which is sponsored by Director General Higher Education, Haryana on February 26-27, 2020. The inaugural session was started with a formal welcome of delegates by Worthy Principal, Dr. Raj Pal Singh. Dr. N. S. Shokeen, President, Haryana Library Association chaired the inaugural session and given a brief note on HLA and its activities. Prof. Trishanjit Kaur of Punjabi University Patiala was the Keynote Speaker of the conference and she emphasized on plagiarism and academic integrity and its different dimensions in research and higher education. There were four technical sessions conduction during the conference. Dr. Dinesh K. S. from IIT Ropar, Prof. Rupak Chakravarti from Panjab University Chandigarh, Dr. Chetan Sharma from Kurukshetra University and Dr. Narender Kumar from GJUS&ST, Hisar were resources persons of the conference. More than 100 participants including teachers, librarians, scholars, and students from different cities & states have participated in the conference and about 25 research articles have been presented during all technical sessions of the conference. Sh. R. D. Mehla, former librarian of Kurukshetra University was the Guest of Honor on the Valedictory session. The conference was successfully completed with certificate distribution by the Worthy Principal and Guest of Honor and vote of thanks by the convener.
