Online Poem Recitation Competition

The Dept. of English, G.M.N College, Ambala Cantt. organized an online Poem Recitation Competition on 20 th Dec. 2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the competition was held through online mode in which students were asked to send 2-3 minutes video. A number of students from Arts and Science stream sent their videos on varied topics such as nature, feminism, truth, life, hope and faith. Some of the students expressed their thoughts through self-composed poems while the others chose to recite the poems by great poets like Wordsworth, Tagore, Carl Sandburg etc. All the participants exhibited great zeal, confidence and their love for poetry. With much deliberation among the judges, the final decisions were based on the originality, clarity and overall presentation. The winners are as follows: First Position - Nikita (Eng.
