Online inter college competition on Science for Peace and Development.

An online inter college competition was organized on 16th Feb, 2021 under the joint aegis of Botany and Zoology Department of Gandhi Memorial National College, Ambala Cantonment and Indian Science Congress Association (Rohtak) Chapter, in which more than 100 students and students from various colleges of the state participated. In the competition, poster making and slogan writing competition was organized on the theme of "Science for Peace and Development". On this occasion, the college Principal, Dr. R.P. Singh said that these online competitions analyzes the mental and intellectual qualities of students, thereby providing information about the effect science on our daily life. Dr. Kuldeep Yadav, Department of Botany acted as Convener of the competition. Dr. Anju Tanwar from Government PG College, Ambala Cantt, Dr. Rameshwar Groch from MLN College Yamunanagar acted as judge in this competition. The co-convenors of the competition, Dr. Shikha Jaggi and Dr. Meenu Rathi, had special support in getting this competition organized. First place in poster making was obtained by Divya Sharma of Botany Department of KUK, Manpreet Kaur from GMN College and Sahil from Government PG College, Ambala Cantt, second place. Similarly, in slogan writing, first place was won by MLN College, Mansi from Yamunanagar, Neha from Chaudhary Bansilal Government College Bhiwani and third place by Government College for Girls, Eastern from Rewari. Applications were accepted from all participants by 15 February 2021 and the result was declared on 16 February 2021. Cash prizes and certificates were distributed to the first three winners in the competition.
