One day student seminar was organised on the topic “Role of Media in Election”, by Department of Political Science, Gandhi Memorial National College, Ambala Cantt. The seminar was sponsored by Prof. Vir Sen Vinay Malhotra Trust (Regd.), Ambala Cantt (Haryana). The programme was started with the floral welcome of the Chief Guest Dr. Vinay Kumar Malhotra and other members of the trust Sh. K.L. Sehgal, Senior Advocate and Vice President of the trust, Sh. Sunil Luthra Founder Trustee.
Formal welcome and introduction of the Chief Guest was done by worthy Principal, Dr. Raj Pal Singh. Dr. K.K. Punia introduced the theme of the seminar. In this seminar 55 students were present and near about 45 students presented their paper and highlighted various positive and negative Role of Media during the elections. Dr. Vinay Kumar Malhotra highlighted the importance of media before, during and after elections. After this Prize ceremony was held.
The seminar ended with vote of thanks by Dr. S.S. Nain. During the seminar other faculty members of the department i.e. Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Saroj Bala, Mr. Parvesh Kumar and Dr. Tripti Sharma were present.
