INDEPENDENCE DAY CEREMONY

G.M.N. College Ambala Cantt. celebrated the 73 rd Independence Day with great zeal and fervour. Dr. Raj Pal Singh, Principal, after offering a floral tribute to the statue of Gandhiji installed in the college premises, hoisted the national flag. NCC cadets of the college demonstrated their skills in the March Past ceremony in which Dr. Raj Pal Singh honored them with various titles and ranks. Amita Singh, Hardeep Kaur and Ankita Jha of the girls’ unit of NCC and Pratik Pradhan, Mohit Thapa, Sandeep Rawat of the Boys’ unit were some of the cadets who were given ranks by the Principal. Addressing the august ceremony, Dr. Raj Pal Singh highlighted that on the eve of Independence, we should realize that we not only need to be independent politically but also culturally and ideologically. He stressed the importance of Swachhta Abhiyaan by saying that cleanliness is not only limited to outer things, but also to inner thoughts. He emphasized that G.M.N. College needs to work together as a team in order to achieve its lost glory. He pointed out that the entire family of G.M.N. College has been working hard for the NAAC accreditation that is due to happen in 2021. All the members of the teaching, as well as non-teaching staff, were present on the occasion.
