Teej Celebration

Teej Celebration A Report Women Cell of the college, (Women Warriors) celebrated the festival of Teej with much fanfare in college auditorium on 02.08.2019. On this occasion, various competitions like Henna Application Competition, Rangoli Competition and Cooking Competition were organized. 57 students participated actively in these competitions. Henna Application Competition was the main attraction of the function. Girls applied beautiful henna designs on the hands of their partners. The students also impressed the judges by preparing delicious dishes and by making attractive and aesthetic Rangoli designs. Mrs. Amita Singh was the chief guest of the function. Mrs. Singh informed the audience regarding the importance of Teej festival and said that the festival symbolized the tradition and culture of the country. Dr. Anju Jain, Mrs. Rachna Khanna and Mrs. Kamlesh Kumari acted as judges for various competitions. Dr. Jyoti Sorout conducted the stage efficiently. 125 students attended this event. Ms. Dikshita Anand, Ms. Shruti Verma and Ms. Himani bagged First, Second and Third positions respectively in Henna Application Competition. In Rangoli Competition, Ms. Tanvi and Ms. Vanshika won First Prize; Mr. Shubham and Ms. Sonam won Second Prize and Ms. Anjali won Third Prize. In Cooking Competition, Ms. Nidhi, ms. Muskan and Ms. Ruche grabbed the first three positions respectively. Dr. Raj Pal Singh, Principal of the college congratulated all the winners for showcasing their talents. He also praised the efforts of Women Cell in celebrating the festival of Teej with such gaiety.
