One-day national seminar on “New Guidelines for SSR- Jan. 2020”

REPORT Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college organized a one-day national seminar on “New Guidelines for SSR- Jan. 2020” on Feb.15 2020 in the seminar hall at 1:45 p.m. Prof. Dinesh Kumar, Coordinator, IQAC.Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra was the Keynote Speaker of the seminar. President College Governing Body Dr Gurdev Singh, Principal Dr Rajpal Singh and coordinator IQAC, Dr Anju Jain welcomed the keynote speaker of the seminar Principal Dr Rajpal Singh said that the objective of the seminar was to critically examine the new guidelines and various mattresses prescribed by NAAC, Bengaluru in Jan. 2020. He expressed his faith and hope that the college would also get benefited from Prof. Kumar expert knowledge guidance and experience as IQAC coordinator of the affiliating university Dr Anju Jain coordinator IQAC of the college raised the efforts of Prof. Kumar under whose dynamic leadership as coordinator IQAC, Kurukshetra university Kurukshetra achieved grade A+ in assessment and accreditation of NAAC Bengaluru. In his Keynote address Prof. Dinesh Kumar discuss the revised assessment framework of NAAC along with the new guidelines for submitting SSR by an institution of higher education. He differentiated between the old and new assessment framework prescribed by NAAC. While discussing the seven criteria of NAAC Prof. Kumar enumerated on the various key indicators and respective weightages allotted to them.  He suggested to organize some training programs to provide technical knowledge to non-teaching staff of the college. He laid emphasis on student satisfaction survey and collaborative quality initiatives undertaken with other institution. He further proposed to upgrade the college infrastructure by building more disabled friendly ramps in the institution. He advised the Principal to ban plastic in the college canteen and follow and notify “No vehicle day” on a particular day of the week for the staff and students. He argued the teachers to use ICT tools on a regular basis for teaching. He also suggested to constitute an exam related grievance committee in the college. He said that on visiting the college website he was impressed by the quality initiatives taken from time to time. He motivated the faculty members to do quality research work and keep upgrading their academic profiles. He praised the efforts of Principal, IQAC coordinator criteria in charges and their team for putting honest efforts for taking the college to your height of success and achieved grade A  In the end. President college Governing body Dr. Gurdev Singh, Principal Dr Rajpal Singh IQAC coordinator Dr Anju Jain and all the criteria in-charges thanked and honoured Prof. Dinesh Kumar by representing him a moment. The seminar ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Ritu.
