Memorial Day Celebrated on 17th December 2021

The Martyrdom Day of Vijay Rattan Chaudhary was celebrated as Memorial Day on 17th December 2021, in the premises of Gandhi Memorial National College. The day was celebrated jointly by the Important Day Celebration Committee and Mass Communication and Video Production Department. On this occasion, the Principal of the college, Dr. Raj Pal Singh and other professors paid their respects by paying floral tributes to the photo of martyr Major Vijay Rattan Choudhary and Captain Jintu Gogoi, while the NCC unit of the college gave its salute. To preserve the memories of Memorial Day, a mobile photography competition was organized by the Department of Mass Communication and Video Production. At the time of awarding the winner of the competition, the Principal of the college, Dr. Raj Pal Singh shared the biography and moments of bravery of martyr Major Vijay Rattan Chaudhary. He said that martyr Major Vijay Rattan Chaudhary and martyr Captain Jintu Gogoi received education from our college. We are proud of these martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country and brought the dignity of our college to the heights. Major Vijay Rattan Chaudhary sacrificed his everything to keep the soil of the country safe. After this, the Principal said that his photo and biography would be kept in the college premises and on July 9th the birthday of martyr Major Vijay Rattan Chaudhary would be celebrated as 'Inspiration Day' in the coming times.
